In 1980, the LEGO Train line was refreshed and re-launched into what has become known as the grey era. This lovely level crossing was one of the the many supplemental sets from that first wave of sets.

A-Model

A small, a hand-driven railway crossing. Gates and other functional pieces were carried over from the 1970s blue era. There is a very small house for the operator, applicable road signs, and a cypress tree. It beautifully captures the simplicity and realism of 80s sets. Little beauty.

It was succeeded by set 7835 in 1985.
